At the January 13th Coffee with the Principal, Miss Littlejohn was excited to announce the latest update to the MPR improvement project. The original plan had been to expand the MPR from 1,600 to 4,400 square feet, removing two bungalows and expanding the eating area.
The new plan calls for keeping the existing MPR in place for use by music teachers etc, removing the 5th grade bungalows and adding a 4,500 sq.ft.multipurpose room for theatrical presentations and assemblies, on the location of the current bungalows. Bungalows would not be removed until summertime. Fifth grade classes would be located in the existing classroom buildings. The new building would provide seating for approximately 500 and provide inside dining on windy and rainy days.
